In 1995 Gregory Maguire wrote the book, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, paving the way to make a fresh new show and another trip back to the land of Oz.
A deep dive into Wicked sheds-light on the history behind Oz’s most iconic characters, leaving audiences around America enchanted by this riveting musical. The unlikely yet unique friendship between Elphaba and Glinda encourages the debate over “good vs. evil”. Elphaba, the hated Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, turns out to be a something of a likeable and charming person.
