With a new perspective on the classic tale of Oz, the musical is based on the novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
Taking a deep dive into Wicked reveals the truth behind Oz’s most iconic witches, leaving audiences around America mesmerized by this exciting story. The unlikely yet profound friendship between Elphaba and Glinda encourages the debate over “good vs. evil”. Elphaba, the notorious Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, turns out to be a remarkably likeable and charming character.
