San Diego Civic Theatre Parking

Guests attending a show at the Civic Theatre have plenty of parking options. First, you can buy official advance parking passes for the Evan V. Jones Parkade. Alternatively, plenty of garages are available in the surrounding blocks of the Gaslamp district.

Evan V. Jones Parkade

The Evan V. Jones Parkade provides plenty parking for theatre-goers. Eleven stories high with over 1,150 parking spaces, it has Accessible spaces on every floor.

It is located at the corner of 1st Avenue and A Street. Elevators to the Street (S) level will take you to the outdoor plaza, giving access to the Theatre.

It is recommended to use the entrance at 1st Avenue and B Street. Alternative entrances are available from 2nd Avenue and A Street or 3rd Avenue and B Street, but bear in mind that these may become crowded and difficult to pass through close to show times, so plan your journey and route carefully, allowing plenty of time for parking.

There is a height restriction of 6 feet, 8 inches for any vehicle entering the Parkade – if your vehicle does not fit within these limits, please use the open-air parking or street parking.

Evan V. Jones Parkade Key points:

  • Advance parking for the Evan V. Jones Parkade can be purchased in advance with your event ticket
  • The garage is located at Civic Ctr Plz, San Diego, CA 92101
  • There are over 1,000 spaces available, although this can be busy with non-theater attendees. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment
  • There are accessible parking spaces available throughout the garage, with an elevator serving each level
  • If you are paying on the day, a flat rate applies for evening shows (currently $15 per vehicle)
  • Rates during the day may be subject to hourly costs

Gaslamp Quarter Parking

If you’d prefer to use an alternative, you can browse Gaslamp Quarter parking options on the official website. Some of the garages within a short walk of the theater include:

  • Park It On Market at 614 Market Street (half a mile walk to the venue)
  • 6th & K Parkade at 289 6th Ave (1 mile from the venue)
  • Gaslamp City Square at 421 4th Ave (half a mile from the venue)
  • Horton Plaza Garage at 801 4th Ave (0.4 miles from the venue)

If you’d prefer to leave the car behind, there are also many alternatives via public transportation.
